Encourage reporting

Allow citizens to report evidence of littering with location and photographs with a view to naming and shaming, and enforcement

Why the contribution is important

Society's tolerance of litter seems to have slipped. Not for me, however. We need to make it clear to all that it is simply not acceptable to litter, and there are consequences.

    Thank you for your comment. You can report fly-tipping on the Torfaen website http://www.torfaen.gov.uk/en/Forms/Report/Flytipping.aspx or if you don't have a computer by contacting the Council on 01495 762200.

    I acknowledge that the response to fly tipping has been rapid and effective from Torfaen in m y experience. However, I was specifically addressing litter, which is a daily issue near me, mainly fast food packaging and drink cups and bottles. Interestingly, could receipts with partial credit card numbers on be used to track offenders down? I find them frequently.
